Issac

In Genesis 22, Isaac serves as a powerful picture of the resurrection of Jesus. Abraham was asked to sacrifice his beloved son, yet he trusted that God could raise Isaac from the dead (Hebrews 11:17–19). Isaac carried the wood for the sacrifice just as Jesus carried His cross, and Abraham’s willingness to give his son points to God giving His only Son for us.
At the last moment, God provided a substitute for Isaac, but when Jesus came, He truly died and rose again on the third day. Isaac’s story foreshadows the greater reality—through the death and resurrection of Christ, God provides salvation and new life.
