In The Beginning Was The Word
This message invites us to discover that Christmas begins not in a stable in Bethlehem, but in eternity itself. Through John's Gospel, we encounter Jesus as the Logos—the eternal Word who existed before time, who spoke creation into being, and who holds every atom of the universe together. This isn't just religious poetry; it's the foundation of our faith. When we grasp that Jesus is fully God—not a prophet, not a spiritual guide, but the Creator Himself—everything changes. The One who designed galaxies chose to enter our brokenness as a vulnerable baby.
This is the scandal and beauty of the incarnation: God didn't shout instructions from heaven but stepped into our mess, our pain, our limitations. The darkness we see around us and within us cannot withstand His light. Every addiction, every shame, every past mistake loses its power when the Light of the World enters our story.
As we celebrate this season, we're challenged to move beyond traditions and sentimentality to worship the Logos who became flesh, to trust the One who sustains our every breath, and to walk in His transforming light that dispels all darkness.
